How does alcohol affect the body? Does it differ with age?
Alcohol enters the body and it travels to the stomach. About 20% of the alcohol absorbs into the blood stream, through small blood vessels. The other 80% of the alcohol continues to the small intestine and is absorbed there into the blood stream. The more that is consumed the more impaired your speech may become; there also is a lot of hesitation to everything you do. The effects of alcohol depend on the age, gender, education, weight, genetic background, and the families history of alcoholism.
