What I Want To Know

A large percentage of deaths in the United States is due to the abuse of alcohol. Consuming alcohol destroys the body and causes numerous problems as you age. Some problems include memory loss, trouble thinking, and in some causes heavy drinking lead to blindness. There are some positives to consuming small amounts of alcohol but people do not seem to care. Most people who drink began light but it becomes a habit and they began to abuse it. When know the outcome of what alcohol can do to you people continue to consume it. What reasons do they have to keep abusing alcohol?

What I Already Know About My Topic

I know alcohol has been around for decades and has always been a problem. Death rates have increased due to alcohol consumption and DUI. An alcoholic beverage is a drink containing ethanol (commonly called alcohol). Alcoholic beverages are divided into three general classes: beers, wines, and spirits. They are legally consumed in most countries, and over 100 countries have laws regulating their production, sale, and consumption.
When a person drinks alcohol, the alcohol is absorbed by the stomach, enters the bloodstream, and goes to all the tissues. The effects of alcohol are dependent on a variety of factors, including a persons size, weight, age, and sex, as well as the amount of food and alcohol consumed

The Story Behind My Topic Choice

"In Sweden alcohol is only sold in bars. Should the United States have the same law?" This is a topic of relevance to present and future life. I think there is always going to be alcohol problems in our country due to not having restrictions like Sweden has. People should be more aware of the alcohol consumed and should know when to stop.Alcohol abuse causes over 100,000 deaths in the United States and Canada each year. It is the drug most commonly abused by children ages 12 to 17. Alcohol-related motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death in teenagers. People who drink alcohol are more likely to engage in high risk sexual behavior, have poor grades or job performance, use tobacco products, and experiment with illegal drugs
