Finding Paragraph #2
How long does Alchol stay in the body?
As soon as acohol enters the body it gets injected into the blood stream. The drug leaves the body in numerous ways. Aproximately 10% of the total alcohol consumed is expelled out of your body via sweat, urine, or breath. The rest of the alcohol consumed into by products through the phenomonon of metabolism within our body. The rate at which the metabolism occurs is independent of age, sex, weight, and height of an individual. Alcohol can be gone at the fastest of 10 hours and alcohol is not consumed.

Finding Paragraph #1
How does alcohol affect the body? Does it differ with age?
Alcohol enters the body and it travels to the stomach. About 20% of the alcohol absorbs into the blood stream, through small blood vessels. The other 80% of the alcohol continues to the small intestine and is absorbed there into the blood stream. The more that is consumed the more impaired your speech may become; there also is a lot of hesitation to everything you do. The effects of alcohol depend on the age, gender, education, weight, genetic background, and the families history of alcoholism.

Quote; The description of Alcoholism helps us understand why alcoholics just cant "use a little will power" to stop drinking. He or she is frequently in the grip of a powerful craving for alcohol, a need that can feel as stong as the need for food or water.
Paraphrase; Alcoholism is a chronic disease. People who suffer from alcoholism are obssed with alcohol and cannot control how much they consume. Alcohol is a powerful drug that keeps you wanting more no matter the consequences.

Quote; From a very young age, kids see advertising messages showing beautiful people enjoying life — and alcohol. And because many parents and other adults use alcohol socially — having beer or wine with dinner, for example — alcohol seems harmless to many teens.
Paraphrase; Kids see alcohol commercials at young ages and there is never anything negative with the advertisement. This influences kids to go and buy alcoholic beverages with the fantasy that their life will be just as good as the persons life in the advertisement. Alcohol is also consumed in the average house hold. Kids also may pick up the habit from home.

it really, really handicaps us. It really puts a lot of the programs on unstable ground,".
This quote means that all the states money is being put into Alcohol abuse programs and other programs are closing down because of this. Its as if they have no support or foundation.

What I Already Know About My Topic
I know alcohol has been around for decades and has always been a problem. Death rates have increased due to alcohol consumption and DUI. An alcoholic beverage is a drink containing ethanol (commonly called alcohol). Alcoholic beverages are divided into three general classes: beers, wines, and spirits. They are legally consumed in most countries, and over 100 countries have laws regulating their production, sale, and consumption.
When a person drinks alcohol, the alcohol is absorbed by the stomach, enters the bloodstream, and goes to all the tissues. The effects of alcohol are dependent on a variety of factors, including a persons size, weight, age, and sex, as well as the amount of food and alcohol consumed

The Story Behind My Topic Choice
"In Sweden alcohol is only sold in bars. Should the United States have the same law?" This is a topic of relevance to present and future life. I think there is always going to be alcohol problems in our country due to not having restrictions like Sweden has. People should be more aware of the alcohol consumed and should know when to stop.Alcohol abuse causes over 100,000 deaths in the United States and Canada each year. It is the drug most commonly abused by children ages 12 to 17. Alcohol-related motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death in teenagers. People who drink alcohol are more likely to engage in high risk sexual behavior, have poor grades or job performance, use tobacco products, and experiment with illegal drugs
